Hatha yoga translates to “Ha” meaning sun and “tha” meaning moon. Hatha yoga aims to balance these energies practicing yoga “with effort in a balanced way”. It is a physical practice that combines a series of yogic postures. The postures are held for longer than a vinyasa class giving you more time to feel the pose, hear alignment cues and deepen your understanding of the poses. Hatha yoga improves mobility, flexibility and strength and focus. A class suitable for all levels.

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic practice connecting one yogic posture to the next with the breath. This can be described as flow. In a state of ‘flow’, we aim to be fully focused on the breath, movement and mind.

In this class, we will build strength, raise our heart rate and improve our flexibility. If your looking for a class to de-stress and energise this is the class for you. You need a basic level of yoga is required to get the most out of this session.

Sculpt Yoga Is a class combining vinyasa yoga & strength training with a primary focus on slow, controlled and mindful movement. This is a class for you if you are looking for the following:
• Cardio benefits
• Improves mindfulness & breathing
• Functional movement & strength training
• Improving flexibility, balance, range of motion and alignment
Optional weights will be provided, not to forget a blissful well-earned savasana at the end.

Modified Primary Series (MPS) is a practice designed by Larry Shultz a student of Pattabi Jois. MPS is an ashtanga-inspired class for all. The flowing sequence requires postures to be performed in a specific order, preparing the body for the next.

The repetition of this practice creates a moving meditation. Through regular practice expect to build strength and flexibility while encouraging discipline and a relaxed & focused mind.

Private sessions are available as one to one or private groups. Private sessions are great if you are just starting yoga; would like a practice designed to achieve specific goals in your practice or to enjoy a session with friends and family.

I offer private classes for 1-5 people either at one of our studios or at your home. We can either book the studio, weather dependant arrange outdoor yoga on the beach or I can do a home visit. Prices range from 50-70/hour.
